For fishermen, there is both deep-sea fishing (with a charter service for fishing trips) in the open sea and sport fishing in the lagoon and on the Tagliamento, the river that runs east of Bibione, to catch especially trout and carp, which are particularly popular with German guests: events and competitions are organised every year (remember the Palombo d’oro) that always involve many enthusiasts and sympathisers with their families.

Sea Sporting Fishing Portobaseleghe is an association born from a passion for the sea and fishing.
The members, who are experts in various fishing techniques, are at the disposal of those who would like to approach this sport to provide them with information on where, how and when to go fishing in the lagoon and the sea in front of Bibione as far as Croatia.
The association organises various activities including competitions and a free fishing course for children in August.
